Yup. This is me, posing with a rainbow of silk threads hand-dyed by my Turkish friend, Musa Başaran. He’d weave his designs into small silk kilims, which he then had reproduced into beautiful wool kilims by weavers in an Aegean village. Sadly, the dear man is no longer with us.
